Four Hurt After Driver Swerves To Miss A Dog

Posted by wlpo on October 15, 2012

You’re told not to swerve to miss a deer, but what about when a dog is on the road?

Four people were hurt from Streator in a crash last night.  It happened on a county road just west of Route 23 north of Streator.

Deputies say Calvin Hutson left the road after swerving to miss a dog.  He ended up hitting a tree.  Hutson and passenger Lawrence Mordan were taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.  Two other passengers, Vernon Loard and William Rosario were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital.

No information is available on the extent of injuries.
