Dalzell Cool On Concert Idea

A zoning board in Dalzell isn’t excited about hosting big-name music acts.

According to the NewsTribune, zoning members last night unanimously turned down a special use permit for concert promoter Merry Noonan.  Noonan wants to start having concerts on farmland north of St. Bede Academy near a subdivision.

Several people showed up to last night’s zoning meeting to speak in opposition of Noonan’s proposal.  A petition against the special use also was turned in.

The Dalzell Village Board meets tonight and is expected to take up the concert issue.
