Semi Crash Snarls I-80 Traffic Near Princeton

Posted by wlpo on June 9, 2012

A semi that got caught up on a concrete median divider shut down traffic on Interstate 80 near Princeton.

Just after one o’clock Friday afternoon, the westbound semi got stuck in a construction zone just east of Princeton.  The semi immediately began leaking diesel fuel.  During the cleanup, eastbound I-80 traffic was re-routed using the Route 26 exit while westbound traffic was taken off the interstate using the I-180 exit.

After nearly a half hour, firefighters were able to get the semi driver out of truck.  The driver was taken to Perry Memorial Hospital.

The driver’s name and condition wasn’t released.
