La Salle House Fire Quickly Put Out

A small house fire had La Salle and Peru fire departments busy.
The firefighters were sent to a home in the 1100 block of Canal Street in La Salle just after five Monday evening. Smoke was showing from the house when crews arrived but they had it out in about a half hour.
No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
