Grassroots campaign developing to oppose Congressman Kinzinger in November

Posted by wlpo on April 16, 2012

Not everyone wants Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger to represent them in Washington D.C.  The winner of the 16th Congressional District primary last month doesn’t have a challenger for the November General Election, yet.

A group is meeting Saturday in Dekalb to find an alternative to Kinzinger.  Dan Kenney of Dekalb is one of the organizers.  He says it’s open to anyone in the district.   He says they don’t feel that Kinzinger represents what is in the best interest of the majority.

If you would like to be involved in selecting a candidate, the meeting is from 2 to 4pm, Saturday at the Unitarian Church on Fourth Street, DeKalb.
