Hopefully, your Easter is quiet and pleasant. Unfortunately, the Seneca Fire Department was quite busy in a nine hour period Saturday. First call was to a fatal one car accident where it’s believes a 25-year old man from Seneca hit a field entrance on North 30th road about 3am Saturday. His car flew forty feet into a field and landed on the passenger door. The driver was dead. His name is being withheld by the County Coroner until next of kin are notified. At 7:30am, at Woodsmoke Ranch, north of Seneca, a propane or gas fuel tank exploded enveloping a park model trailer. That trailer, its deck and a small shed were destroyed. A second trailer next to it received significant damage and a third on the other side – moderate damage. Firemen were back at the station at 10:30 only to be called to an eastside residential area at 11am. A cut tree fell on some power lines causing them to spark Fire personnel stayed on the scene until the power could be shut off.
