Hail, Thunder And Snow In The Illinois Valley

Not a lot of snow fell Friday but when it was coming down it was intense.
A National Weather Service spotter in Princeton measured two inches. The snow came mid-afternoon and lasted only an hour or so.
In La Salle County, “thundersnow” was reported in Mendota. In Marseilles and Ottawa, the weather service says there was about 15 minutes of hail before it switched over to heavy snow.
