Police called to Peru school for a report of ammunition

Some things you can’t let your child bring to school, ammunition is definitely on that list. Peru Police officers were at Parkside Middle School Tuesday for a student accused of having ammunition in their locker.
Police say there wasn’t a weapon and no threats were made.
In a message on the district’s website, Superintend Mark Cross doesn’t say ammunition while referring to “objects” that aren’t allowed in school.
Cross says it was dealt with immediately and any discipline will be handled by school officials. He says they don’t believe that any harm was ever intended and nobody was ever in danger.
