Homicide Charges For Somonauk Man

A man from Somonauk faces serious charges stemming from a fatal crash.

28 year old Matthew Lambert was arrested Friday on a Kendall County Warrant for three counts of Reckless Homicide and 10 counts of Aggravated DUI. He was taken to the Kendall County Jail.

Investigators didn’t release any other details in the arrest report.

New Map Means New Representation For Area Voters

Aaron Schock and his six-pack abs want to have another term in Washington D.C.

The republican from Peoria has filed re-election papers to run in the newly drawn up 18th Congressional District. Schock will represent all of Marshall and Woodford Counties but no longer Bureau or Putnam counties.

Retired Air Force and Illinois National Guard master sergeant Steve Waterworth of Easton will take on Schock as a Democrat challenger.

House Fire In Ottawa

A west side home in Ottawa was damaged by fire.

Firefighters were called out to a home in the 800 block of West Washington Street Friday night. Shannon Lowman lives at the home but is okay.

Firefighters had the main fire out in a few minutes but hung around to put out smoldering insulation. They think the fire was caused by an electrical issue.

A damage estimate to the home is 45 thousand dollars with another 30 thousand dollars in estimated content loss.

Congressman Wants To Talk Jobs

What will it take to create one more job? That’s a question Congressman Adam Kinzinger is asking.

The first-term Republican will hold a press conference Wednesday afternoon at Jeremiah Joe’s Coffee in Ottawa to discuss jobs. Kinzinger’s expected to be flanked by small business owners of Ottawa in asking them what he can do for small businesses to add just one more job.
