Hall Wants To Save Money With Shorter Road Trips

Hall and St. Bede could bring their rivalry to the gridiron as soon as next year.

Assistant Principal Eric Bryant says “nearly everything is aligned” for Hall to leave the West Central Conference and join the Big Rivers Conference.  Teams in the Big Rivers include St. Bede, Amboy-La Moille and Bureau Valley.  Big Rivers officials are expected to meet next month to decide on Hall.

Bryant says the conference change will be a budget saver.  He estimated they spent nearly 10 thousand dollars to take charter buses on four hour road trips this year.
