LaHood announces plans to seek full term in State Senate

Posted by wlpo on September 23, 2011

What do you want to see from you state lawmakers?   Republican Darin LaHood says he wants to focus on cutting state spending, making Illinois more business friendly, and passing concealed carry legislation.

He’s looking for his first full term in the State Senate.  He announced his plans to run in the 37th District Thursday in Princeton.  He was appointed to the seat in February to replace the retired Dale Risinger.

LaHood’s father is former longtime Congressman and U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood.
