Wine Lovers Converge This Weekend

Hope you come thirsty to Matthiessen State Park this weekend.

The annual Vintage Illinois Wine Festival is Saturday and Sunday at the park.  Nearly 30 wineries from across Illinois are expected to showcase their stuff.  Local wineries include August Hill, Illinois River Winery and Starved Rock Market Place in Utica.

Entry into the festival is 15 dollars a person which includes a souvenir wine glass and five tasting tickets.  Additional tasting tickets are a dollar apiece.

Besides wine, there will also be food and live music both days.
