Posted by wlpo on July 23, 2011
A restaurant in La Salle won’t be serving dinner tonight after a fire that apparently started in the basement.
A cleaning person at Monari’s 101 Club discovered the fire shortly before 6am Saturday. La Salle and Peru Fire Departments went to building and were able to put out the fire that had spread up a wall. A lot of water was left in the building.
Owner Earl Monari says they plan to reopen Tuesday.
