Posted by wlpo on May 26, 2011

Ottawa Elementary School District has a new man in charge.

At a special meeting Thursday morning, the school board chose Cleve Threadgill as the new district superintendent.  Threadgill is the current principal of Shepherd Middle School.  He replaces Craig Doster who is leaving to become superintendent in the Flossmoor School District.

Threadgill gets a three-year contract with a starting salary of 110 thousand dollars.  He’ll get pay increases of around 15 hundred dollars in years two and three of his deal.
