Posted by wlpo on April 23, 2011

A quiet neighborhood in Peru was allegedly home to a meth lab.  Police believe a man living at 416 Schuyler Street was making meth there.

Police say they pulled over Michael Lucas in an alley near his home Friday afternoon.  They say during the stop, Lucas tossed out a bag containing suspected meth manufacturing items and then ran back to the house where he was arrested.

He’s been charged with a Class 2 felony charge relating to disposal of methamphetamine waste.  More charges are pending. Lucas was taken to the La Salle County Jail pending an appearance in bond court.
