Crash east of Streator

Speed and alcohol are factors that likelyl caused a 25-year old Streator woman to crash her vehicle east of the city about 5:20am Saturday. LaSalle County Sheriff’s office says Faith Barnes was on North 14th road near East 19th road, a mile east of Streator when the accident occurred. She was treated for injuries at St. Mary’s Hospital and released. Barnes was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and DUI. She posted bond and received a court date.
