Flu Cases Picking Up

Posted by wlpo on January 8, 2011

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) – Illinois health officials are reporting an increase in flu activity. Many regions in the state are
reporting recent lab-confirmed influenza.

Flu is still not widespread in Illinois, but it’s typical to see a peak in illness in January and February. Illinois Department of Public Health Director Dr. Damon Arnold encourages everyone 6 months and older to get vaccinated to protect
themselves and others.
