Seneca Eyeing New Police Station

Posted by wlpo on January 6, 2011

The Seneca Police Department could soon have a building of its own.

Village officials received a letter from the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity saying Seneca can expect a 350 thousand dollar check for a new police department and emergency dispatch system.  The state grant money is dependent on Illinois selling capital bonds.

Village officials haven’t started the process of bids or drawings for the new police station which will be next to the village hall.
