Rezin’s replacement to be choosen Sunday

Posted by wlpo on January 1, 2011

The new 75th District State Representative should be known Sunday.

Republican chairmen and women from La Salle, Grundy, Kankakee, Will, Iroquois and Livingston Counties are making a selection Sunday in Morris.  Reports are that 26 applicants are being considered for the job.  Grundy County’s chairman will have the most say in the decision.

The representative seat is open because Republican Sue Rezin chose to fill the state senate seat of Gary Dahl.  Rezin beat Careen Gordon for the 75th district seat in November.

Shannon’s husband Dale died in the crash that happened on December 5 on the Grand Ridge- Mazon Blacktop.  Police believe Tanya Shannon was in the car, but several searches of the area of the crash turned up few signs of the mother of four.
