Crowded Mayorial Field In Marseilles

Posted by wlpo on December 21, 2010

There will be a crowded race for mayor in Marseilles.  Four people are running.

Incumbent Mayor Jim Trager will have to hold off Patti Smith, Cheryl O’Brien and Angie Bowyer in the April election.  O’Brien is a current council member while Bowyer ran for commissioner in 2007 and Smith lost to Trager in the mayor’s race in 2007.

There are four council seats on the ballot in Marseilles but only four people are running.  Incumbents Bob Davis, Jim Hollenbeck and Jim Buckingham are running for re-election.  Marseilles Recreation Board President Bob Kaminski will fill the other council seat.
