Two Area High Schoolers Remain Hospitalized After Crash

Posted by wlpo on November 16, 2010

One of two Streator Woodland students hurt in a Saturday crash is improving.

Cheyenne Meredith of Ancona has been upgraded from serious to good condition at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.  Her classmate, Jessica Cashmer of Streator is still in critical condition.

Meredith and Cashmer were passengers in a Mitsubishi Eclipse being driven Saturday night by Taylor Mouser of Streator.  Mouser lost control near Reading in Livingston County and overturned the car several times.

Mouser was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Streator where she was released.  Two other passengers, Josie and Sydney Walker of Cornell were treated and released at St. James Hospital in Pontiac.

The crash remains under investigation.
