A Peru comany and City of Princeton to benefit from energy grants
Posted by wlpo on October 2, 2010
Going green is the latest trend in industry. A company in Peru is receiving a grant to retool their operations to become more efficient.
Unytite makes heavy equipment nuts and bolts. The grant they’ll be using comes from the State Energy Plan using money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
The director of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, Warren Ribley, and company representatives will be talking about the funding Monday morning in Peru.
Ribley will also be making a stop in Princeton to meet with city officials to go over money for energy efficiency steps the city is taking, including Smart Grid technology.
