A Plainfield man and his dog found out how dangerous a walk in the park can be Saturday afternoon. 31 year old Jason Taylor of Plainfield was walking his dog at Matthiessen State Park when the dog lost its footing and plunged 35 feet off a cliff. While trying to rescue the dog, Taylor slipped and fell himself.
After being pulled out by Oglesby Fire and Rescue, Taylor was treated and released from Illinois Valley Community Hospital, while his dog was taken to Chessie Lane for treatment.
