Lawsuit Filed After Peru Woman Dies Outside Casino

Posted by wlpo on September 6, 2010

A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed in the case of a Peru woman who was killed last year after getting hit by a golf cart.

Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafson said 88 year old Virginia Armon was killed by “crushing chest injuries” after being hit by a golf cart last June at Jumer’s Casino and Hotel in Rock Island.  The golf cart is used as a shuttle service.

La Salle attorney T. Donald Henson filed the lawsuit in La Salle County Circuit Court on behalf of Armon’s estate.  They’re seeking at least 100 thousand dollars.
