Repairs planned for Monks Avenue and 38th Street

Go shopping at Target or grab a sundae at Dairy Queen in Peru and chances are you’ll pass through the intersection of Route 251 and 38^th Street.

The pavement in one of the lanes is in bad shape, the worst street in Peru according to some aldermen.  But that will be changing.

The city is hiring UC Paving to replace the asphalt there for $5,800.

The same contractor will also be fixing a road failure on Monks Avenue for about $8,000.
