Ottawa man taken to hospital after motorcycle crash

Police think alcohol played a role in a motorcycle crash that sent a man from Ottawa to the hospital.

La Salle County Sheriff’s deputies say they found William McIntyre in a field near his wrecked motorcycle on a rural road in Earl Township just before 2am Sunday.  He was taken to the Valley West Hospital in Sandwich where he was charged with DUI, improper lane usage and not slowing down to avoid an accident.  He was given a notice to appear in court.
