Ottawa hosts state tourism and economic development officials

Monday a group of state tourism and economic development officials will get a tour of Ottawa and a chance to see what the city’s doing to promote economic growth.

The group of visitor’s will include Warren Ribley, the Director of the Illinois Department of Economic Development and Jan Kostner, the Director of Tourism for the State of Illinois.

They’ll take a walking tour of the downtown making stops at the IVCC Ottawa Center and the blocks of La Salle Street where they’ve been planting flowers.

Kostner will also be taking a ride on the canal boat in La Salle to meet with La Salle County Tourism Coalition members.
