Oglesby mayor doesn’t plan on seeking second term

Posted by wlpo on June 17, 2010

One term is apparently enough for Oglesby Mayor Tony Torres.  The mayor says he isn’t going to run for a second term for personal and health reasons.

Torres took office in the spring of 2007 after beating now-electric commissioner Don Finley in a close race.  He replaced long-time Mayor Jerry Scott.  Torres’s term is up next spring.
