Tough Year Ends For Ottawa High
Posted by wlpo on June 5, 2010
While seemingly every week for the past month there has been a high school graduation, none may have been as emotional as Ottawa High School’s.
370 seniors received their diplomas at Friday night’s ceremony in Kingman Gymnasium. The seniors endured a year where there superintendent died and many classmates lost out on activities due to a teacher’s strike. The makeup days of the strike also cut into Christmas and spring breaks of the students and their families.
Superintendent Matt Winchester summed it up saying “it’s been a tough school year for all”.
