A program through the local United Way Chapter has students helping students. The H.U.S.K.Y. program gives school supplies to students who may not be able to afford them.
Area grade school students will be collecting change for the program starting Monday. The money will go towards the next school year. 15 grade schools and one high school will benefit.
The program is benefiting from a $4,000 grant from the Miller Charitable Trust Fund. Miller Group Media includes AM 1220 WLPO, 99.3 WAJK, 96.5 THE WOLF, The Newstribune and Agrinews.
