Mesarchik Investigation Continues

The investigation into the death and disappearance of Streator’s Dalton Mesarchik has now reached seven years.

It was March 26th of 2003 when Dalton was first reported missing to Streator Police.  Seven years ago today his body was found in the Vermilion River south of Streator.  He was beaten to death.

State Police in Pontiac remain the lead investigator in the case.  Officials from District 6 say that around 17 hundred leads have been opened and investigated in the Mesarchik case.  Also over 400 pieces of evidence have been seized.

A 50 thousand dollar reward remains in place for information leading to the capture and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the death.
