Two accused of robbing and stabbing Mendota

A man and teen accused of trying to rob and stabbing another teen in downtown La Salle have gone before a judge. 

27 year old Brandon Atkinson of La Salle and 17 year old Julian Molina were in court Thursday for felony robbery and aggravated battery charges. 

They’re accused of trying to rob a 17 year old boy from Mendota Wednesday night on First Street in La Salle.  The Mendota teen was flown to St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria for multiple stab wounds. 

Police say the boy from Mendota knew his attackers.  Police also say they’re familiar with Atkinson and Molina.

Bond for Atkinson was set at $500,000.  He’s already on parole for residential burglary.  Molina’s bond was set at $250,000.
