Area Woman Seriously Hurt In Crash

Posted by wlpo on February 12, 2010

A woman from La Salle is said to be in the critical care unit after a Wednesday crash near Minooka.

Shirley Stadler was airlifted to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove after a one car crash Wednesday morning on eastbound I-80.  She was a passenger in the car driven by Reveca Sola of Peru.  Sola wasn’t hurt but was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions.

State Police say Sola lost control during a lane change, hit the center median, went across all lanes of traffic and into a ditch.  The car then spun around, and hit a tree and fence.

A second passenger, Chris Stadler of La Salle was taken by ambulance to a Joliet hospital.

Traffic on I-80 near Minooka was shut down for about a half hour as the helicopter landed.
