Marijuana Sting In Spring Valley

Spring Valley Police along with TRIDENT investigators did a search warrant Friday at the home of Antonio Rosales Jr. in the 200 block of East St. Paul Street in Spring Valley.  Inside, investigators say they found packaged marijuana ready to be sold along with other things allegedly involved with drug dealing.

Rosales Jr. was arrested for unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and taken to the Bureau County Jail.

Drug arrest after stop on I-80

A simple traffic stop for speeding turned into a drug bust on Interstate 80.

Police say they searched Mark Montello of New Hampshire’s car Sunday because they smelled pot.  They say they found 100 grams of cannabis, 31 pills, and drug paraphernalia. 

He was arrested on several drug related charges and was taken to the La Salle County Jail.
