New administrator hired for La Salle County Nursing Home

Facing fines after the previous leadership allegedly failed to act on sexual abuse incidents, the La Salle County Board has picked a new nursing home administrator with plenty of experience.

          The board Thursday approved Debra Brown to replace Adrienne Erickson as La Salle County Nursing Home Administrator.  Like Erickson before she was fired, Brown will be paid $79,000.  Her contract kicks in Monday and is for one year.

          Brown has over 20 years of nursing home administrative experience with much of it in the Chicagoland area.  Her last job was administrator for Boulevard Care Center in Chicago. 

          She was among 20 applicants and four people interviewed for the La Salle County job.
