Homeless Man Accused of Spiking Gas Tank

When its this cold, it’s a good thing to put some HEET or gas line antifreeze into your gas tank.  At no point is it a good idea to put sugar water into the tank.

La Salle Police arrested Justin Murphy on New Year’s Eve for criminal damage to property after they say he put some sugar water in someone’s car which did some damage.

Murphy who is listed as homeless, posted bond and was given a court date.

Man Smacks Into Retaining Wall

New Year’s eve night, William Walsh of La Salle was pulled over at 4th and Rock Streets after he allegedly hit a retaining wall at the Route’s 6 and 251 intersection.

He was arrested for DUI, speeding, improper lane usage, driving on the shoulder, no insurance and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.  Walsh posted his license and 100 dollars for bond and was released.

Dangerous Wind Chills

A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for the entire listening area.

Temperatures in the single digits coupled with a wind of 10 to 15 miles per hour is taking wind chills down to around 20 below zero at some points in the day.

Highs will stay in the teens thru at least Thursday.
