The Lounge Could Be On Way Out

A new year looks like new owner for a bar in Peru.  A group of people are interested in turning the Lounge on Shooting Park Road into a music and comedy venue.

Mayor Scott Harl brought it up at last night’s informal council meeting because they would need a liquor license.  The current owner has an active license.

None of the council members are against issuing the license, but they want the new owners to know the rules when it comes to the noise ordinance.  They also want the police chief to check with the police in Ottawa to see if bars owned by one of the same people has problems.
