No Salary Increase For County Employees

Posted by wlpo on December 14, 2009

It pays to be a longtime La Salle County employee.

The county board yesterday approved new salary agreements for union and non-union employees.  No county employee will get a raise on their base salary but will get extra cash based on years they’ve worked for the county.

Anyone who’s worked 1 to 10 years will get a longevity increase of $55 per year.  Eleven to 20 year workers get $65 per year and anyone who has worked 21 or more years get $75 for each year they’ve worked.  Board Chairman Jerry Hicks says the longevity increase basically equates to a one percent base salary increase.
