“Holidays at the Museums” in Mendota

If you’re looking for something seasonal to do, you could head to Mendota.  The Mendota Museum and Historical Society is holding “Holidays at the Museums” Sunday.

          The Hume Carnegie Museum will be open at 5pm, the country chapel at 6pm, and the Union Depot Railroad Museum at 6:30pm.  A $10 donation is being accepted.

Santa arrives in Spring Valley

Spring Valley has got the Christmas spirit.  You can watch the lighted Santa Parade 7pm Saturday. 

Santa and his sleigh will be in the downtown to Spring Valley.

Man indicted for cocain

A man accused of selling drugs out of the Wendy’s parking lot in Ottawa was indicted. 

          Joseph Kelly of Ottawa was arrested earlier this month after allegedly selling cocaine to an undercover drug officer with TRIDENT on two occasions.  At the time of his arrest, Kelly was on parole. 

          Kelly is back in prison for violating his parole.
