13 year old and 15 year old plead guilty in shooting

A shooting last month in La Salle could have the a couple of teens spending the rest of their childhood behind bars.

A 13 year old from La Salle and a 15 year old boy from Oglesby pleaded guilty Tuesday to aggravated discharge of a firearm and mob action.

The two and another 13 year old from La Salle were arrested last month after police were called to a home in the 800 block of 9th Street for a loud noise. 

          The two boys return to court December 22 where they’ll be sentenced to the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice.  They could be held there until they’re 21.

          The other 13 year old is in court December 8.

Two indicted on cannabis charges

Indictments for two teens accused of selling drugs in Marseilles.  Robert Pennington and Danny Deutsch of Marseilles were indicted Tuesday in La Salle County for possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.

          They were arrested three weeks ago after investigators with TRIDENT searched a home their home, allegedly finding over six pounds of marijuana packaged for sale.

          Pennington and Deutsch are free after posting bond.
