Hundreds Show Up To Honor Vets

Organizers of the 3rd annual Utica Veteran’s Parade and memorial ceremony couldn’t have picked a better day weatherwise.

Hundreds lined downtown Utica for the parade which featured dozens of military units and fly-overs.  The scene shifted from downtown to Danny Carey Memorial Park for a ceremony that featured several speakers including former Illinois Veteran’s Affairs Director and current undersecretary of the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs Major Tammy Duckworth.

Duckworth promised to get every veteran the treatment that they needed.
