Swine Flu Clinic Busy But Not Choatic

Posted by wlpo on November 3, 2009

The swine flu clinic yesterday at Illinois Valley Community College was never in danger of running dry of vaccine.

With 25 hundred doses available, health officials dished out just over 16 hundred vaccinations.  Hundreds were in line for the vaccine hours before the clinic even opened up.  Once the clinic opened, the line seemed to be moving fluidly.

With vaccine leftover, an appointment only clinic will happen tomorrow at the public health department in Ottawa from 9 to 4.  This clinic is only open to people under the age of 64 or who are considered medically fragile.
