La Moille Man Dies After Crash

A man from La Moille has died from injuries he suffered in a crash.

22 year old Trevor Schlesinger died Saturday at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria after he was flown there earlier in the week.  The Bureau County Sheriff’s Office says Schlesinger had to be cut out of his car after getting into an accident last Monday.

The crash happened on Route 89 just north of Arlington.

School Board And Union Exchange Proposals

While they aren’t technically having negotiating meetings, the Ottawa Township High School Board and teacher’s union are apparently talking.

Friday, board president George Hupp announced he sent a written proposal to teachers that was supposed to address their concerns.  Hupp said the proposal would be supported by documentation which would be released this weekend. 

The union has received the proposal and has sent the board a counter proposal.  This despite Hupp saying the board had made it’s last offer.
