Starved Rock remains popular destination despite tough times

Have you been out to Starved Rock State Park this season? The park remained a popular destination this summer.
Tom Levy is the site superintendent. He says July was a noticeably busy month.
Levy says 25,000 more people came to the park in July than last July.
Levy says they were able to handle the surge in visitors by pulling the staff together and using volunteers.
Attendance during the other months was what they would expect. He thinks they’ll hit two million visitors before the year is over.
