Court waits for mental exam results in murder-for-hire case

A woman from Ottawa that’s accused of trying to have her husband killed has had her mental state examined, but results won’t come out until at least a few weeks.
28 year old Christina Dent was in court Thursday but her case was continued until September 17th so a doctor has more time to see if she’s mentally fit to stand trial for solicitation of murder for hire. She was arrested in June after an undercover cop set up a meeting with her on the north side of Ottawa. The cop was acting like a hitman and after getting paid, he arrested Dent.
Dent was allegedly offering seven thousand dollars to kill her husband. Investigators say they found out about her plans after she spilled the beans to a neighbor. The neighbor worked with police during the investigation.
