Police look for man wanted for burglary

Do you Daniel Culver? The Ottawa Police are looking for him. They believe the 22 year old from Naperville broken into a house in Ottawa in late July and stole three credit cards out of someone’s purse.
Culver’s accused of using the cards to buy things at Autozone and the Walmart Supercenter in Ottawa.
He’s wanted on a warrant for residential burglary and unlawful use of a credit card and he’s already on parole.

Mendota man killed in crash

Police and the La Salle County Coroner’s office are investigating a crash that left a man from Mendota dead.
23 year old James Dankenbring was pronounced dead at the scene before sunrise Saturday morning.
It happened on Meridian Road. Police say for whatever reason Dankenbring lost control, hit a tree, and flipped his car.

One dead after accident on Route 52

At least one person was dead and two others injured after a crash between a car and a semi truck on Route 52.
Police say a car turned in front of a truck on the Sheridan spur Saturday afternoon. They were taken to Ottawa Regional Hospital. One person died. Two others were flown to another hospital. Their names and conditions haven’t been released.
