St. Margaret’s Health changes plans for new hospital

Posted by wlpo on August 29, 2009

The corner of Route 6 and the Dalzell Blacktop will remain undeveloped, for now at least.
Plans for St. Margaret’s Hospital to construct a new building there have been cancelled.
Hospital officials made the decision based on financing Thursday.
They went public with their plans to build a replacement hospital in January 2008 and had hoped to break ground last spring.
In July, Tim Muntz, St. Margaret’s Health President and CEO, insisted the project wasn’t on hold, but admitted they were having difficulty with the financing.
