Big Time Cash And Drugs Seized In Streator

Ronald Barnes was arrested by TRIDENT officers yesterday at his house in Streator for a charge of unlawful delivery of cannabis. Barnes is accused of having a duffel bag filled with 15 pounds of pot and a safe with 30 thousand dollars in it. Officials also seized from Barnes a Ford Expedition and electronics that he allegedly bought with drug money.

Barnes was in court today and his bond was set at 75 thousand dollars. A TRIDENT official says Barnes was selling drugs in Streator, Ottawa, and Oglesby. More arrests are pending.
