Parkside grand opening rescheduled

If you’re looking forward to taking a tour of the new Parkside Middle School in Peru, you’ll have to week a couple of weeks longer.
A grand opening that was originally scheduled for August 11 has been rescheduled for August 25.
Mark Cross is the district superintendent. He says the delay isn’t because of a change in the construction schedule, but because they would be getting to close to the work site that includes the parking lots and sidewalks.
The school at the corner of Shooting Park Road and Church Street will house fifth through eighth grade.
