Ottawa changes liquor law

The way alcohol is sold and advertised is changing in Ottawa.
To cater to boaters and picnickers, stores can now sell alcohol on Sundays starting at 8 in the morning instead of 10. On Christmas Eve, places that serve alcohol can now stay open until 10 at night instead of 6.
The final change in the liquor law restricts the amount of signage an alcohol seller can have. Instead of hanging banners with their beer sales on fences, trees or in right-of-ways, businesses can only have one temporary sign at a time and it must be attached to the building.
